by Steve Morgan, Head of School
The Kaleidoscope of smiles on our students’ faces as they arrive each morning are the best indicator of a successful start. It has been fantastic watching our students navigate their new schedules and routines with such enthusiasm and adaptability. They are settling into their new classrooms and routines beautifully. Perhaps even more heartwarming is the renewal of personal friendships and the spirit of comradery developing across our school. The heart of our school beats exuberantly whether it’s through students playing games outside, shared classroom activities, or just chatting during lunch. Teachers have been engaging with their students with get-to-know-you activities. Our classrooms have been actively providing a biblical world view in their classroom lessons, making Jesus more personal, and students getting to know that our Heavenly Father created us to be unique and wonderful vessels!
From my perspective, also as the Head of School, the first weeks of school have been far more than just a return to routine; they have been a magnificent symphony of an artistic overture called school. I believe this creative design has been orchestrated entirely by the Holy Spirit. I’m witnessing a beautiful composition of intellect, creativity, and spirit in our students facilitated by our teachers and staff.
One of our newest staff additions, Miss Damron, fosters an environment of creative artistic expressions and multimedia publishing. Content Creation and publishing opportunities are being provided through her digital photography, traditional photography, yearbook, & social media marketing class. In addition, the combined musical leadership of Pastor Mack, Anna Kohler, and Alana Damron have dramatically elevated our chapel times and staff meetings. Their musical & spiritual collaboration has powerfully reaffirmed our collective purpose and calling to the ministry and gift of teaching students. The result: A new sense of awe and spiritual synergy which has encapsulated our school staff bringing renewed faith, prayer, and purpose. I’m anticipating the spillover to be a year of continuous multiple blessings, hearts strengthened, and God’s kingdom advancing!
